A profile picture...finally.

Margie and I are in the process of making a surprise for our coworkers at Amerock and I had to get my picture taken.  Yuck!!  But I finally have a profile picture and I have updated my pic on Facebook also to reflect my red hair instead of the nasty mousy brown/grey stuff I had on the previously.  Still don't like the picture but it is going to have to do as I have no intention of wearing makeup again this week.  :)  Well maybe...

So very cold

It is a little before noon and it has "warmed up" to 11 degrees but the wind chill is still -3.  Looking at the 10 day forcast we are not going to hit freezing in the forseeable future.  Every winter I question why I live here but with all my family and friends here I guess I just need to get used to it. 

I am working on it really...

I did not get any more pictures of my stamping space last night but I really have been working on it.  At least a bit.  I have to leave in a little while to go out to the suburbs for my niece's birthday party so will not be able to get any posted at least until tomorrow.  It is still rather a disaster area but I have been sorting a lot of the boxes and bins that just get dumped into them and never seem to get emptied.  I am setting one table up as a "cutting station".  It will hold my Carl cutter, Cuttlebug and my Cricut Expression that I got for Christmas.  I think that there will be enough space for all three but will have to see when we get it all set up.  The other table will be for stamping.  My stamp pads are on the wall in a rack and the stamps are in one of my cabinets.  I would really love to unmount all my stamps but that is something for down the road.  Well, I really need to get a card made for my niece and since the room is not done yet I am going to break out my new Wild Cards cartridge for the Cricut and try something new.  Have a great Sunday everyone and I will keep the updates coming.

I took some pictures yesterday of my stamping and scrapping space.  I am certain that if I get it cleaned up I will find my mojo in there somewhere.  Will update with some more pics of my cleaner area later this afternoon.

New Year and a new adventure

So it is New Year's Eve and time for a bit of reflection and planning.  I started this blog last January and after February pretty much let it go.  Seems funny to see pics of Gimli before we ever brought him home and now he is huge!!  And I mean HUGE, really, we haven't had him weighed in quite some time but he has to be 125 pounds at least. 

I really don't want to make any resolutions for the New Year because I can never seem to follow through but I think I need to at least resolve to take myself less seriously, spend more time doing my creative endeavors, play more and understand that the house does not need to be perfectly clean. 

I am going into this New Year knowing that I will be losing my job at Amerock later this year.  While I am sad to be leaving the company I need to embrace the chance to change my focus.  I am really hoping that I can turn my hobbies into a business so that the creative part of me will no longer need to be a "when I have some free time" part of my life.  Hence the new name of my blog.  I have a few ideas of places to sell my cards and crafts but needed to come up with a name for my business and decided on Charmed Creationz by Abbyzmommy.

Honestly, How cute is he?

I just got a new picture of Gimli from our breeder. We pick him up a week from tomorrow. Happy Valentine's Day (a day early)!!
